Swahili Scholars is a transformative educational initiative aimed at modernizing teaching and learning environments across Zanzibar’s public schools. With a bold vision to empower students and educators for the 21st century, this project integrates culturally grounded, tech-enabled, and competency-based learning models to enhance academic performance, digital literacy, and critical thinking.

By equipping classrooms with modern tools, upskilling teachers, and embedding Swahili language and heritage into a future-ready curriculum, Swahili Scholars will bridge the gap between tradition and innovation—preparing the next generation of Zanzibari leaders.
